“To become a Multi-Cultural, Bilingual gathering of worshipers growing far and beyond what we can even imagine.”

Our purpose

The purpose of “the gathering @ midland” is simple. We exist to Reach, Empower, and Release – the three biblical mandates of the local church.

(Luke 4:18-19) “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

REACH: To REACH OUT to others by extending the love of Christ.

We believe we are called to reach out to people who are (pre-Christian) outside the family of God. Every day, we rub shoulders with so many people who are just an invite away from a life-changing encounter with Christ. We encourage you to invite your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to attend The Gathering so that they will hear and understand what it means to be a follower of Christ.

EMPOWER: To EMPOWER those who have been reached with training and equipping them for ministry.

We believe we also exist to help empower you as a Christ-follower to grow in your spiritual maturity and become full-time follower of Christ. Because the Christian life is one of constant growth and development, we are focused on providing biblical principles that can be applied to everyday life. We want to help you move from a spectator to a participator.

RELEASE: To RELEASE the empowered for ministry, by sending, supporting and enabling them to fulfill their passion.

We believe we are to release the empowered & energized believer to fulfill the great commission by sending, supporting and enabling them to fulfill their purpose.

Nuestro Propósito

El Propósito de “The Gathering @ Midland” es simple. Existimos para alcanzar, empoderar  y enviar, los tres mandatos bíblicos de la Iglesia Local.

(Lucas 4:18-19)” El Espíritu del Señor está sobre mí, por cuanto me ha ungido para anunciar buenas *nuevas a los pobres. Me ha enviado a proclamar libertad a los cautivos  y dar vista a los ciegos,  a poner en libertad a los oprimidos, a pregonar el año del favor del Señor.”

ALCANZAR: ALCANZAR a otros extendiendo el amor de Cristo.

Creemos que hemos sido llamados alcanzar a aquellos que están fuera de la familia de Dios. Cada día estamos hombro a hombro con tanta gente que está solo a una invitación de distancia de un encuentro con Cristo que cambiara sus vidas. Te animamos a invitar a tus amigos, familiares, compañeros de trabajo a The Gathering, para que puedan escuchar y entender que significa ser un seguidor de Cristo.

EMPODERAR: EMPODERAR a aquellos alcanzados entrenándolos y equipándolos para el ministerio.

Creemos que también existimos para ayudarte como seguidor de Cristo a crecer en madurez espiritual y convertirte en un seguidor de Cristo todo el tiempo. Porque la vida cristiana es de constante desarrollo y crecimiento, estamos enfocados en proveer principios bíblicos que pueden ser aplicados a tu vida diaria. Queremos que te muevas de ser un espectador a un participante.

ENVIAR: ENVIAR a aquellos empoderados al ministerio, enviándolos y apoyándolos, permitiéndoles cumplir aquello que les apasiona.

Creemos que debemos soltar al creyente lleno de energía y poder a cumplir la gran comisión, enviándolo, apoyándolo y permitiéndole cumplir su propósito.

Valoramos el ser:

Cristianos:Seguidores de Cristo

Santos:Hemos sido llamados a vivir en santidad, vidas que imiten a Cristo.

Misioneros:Debemos compartir nuestra fe con los demás.

Compasivos:Aceptamos a cualquiera con verdadera compasión demostrando el amor de Cristo.

Auténticos:Creemos en vivir una autentica vida cristiana que se demuestra a través del gozo y servicio a otros.

Libres:Creemos que Dios puede dar libertad al adicto, al oprimido y al pobre.

Adoradores:Creemos que se puede experimentar la presencia de Dios a través de una adoración íntima y relevante diariamente.
